RMD Construction LLC was founded in January 2016 by Bob DiCostanzo, with 40 years of diverse construction experience, to provide general contracting services to the self-storage industry. The following year, Bill Barbat joined RMD with 20 years of construction experience, 15 in the self-storage business. Since that time, RMD has completed or has underway 45 ground-up and renovation projects totaling 3,000,000 square feet and $120,000,000 in construction costs.

RMD provides cost estimates based on preliminary architectural drawings and our historical cost data so the owner can perform feasibility studies and explore financing options early in the development process. During the design development phase, RMD provides advice and value engineering to assure the most efficient and economical structural, mechanical, and electrical systems are in place for your project.

During the Design/Build process, RMD works collaboratively with the architect and engineers as a team from project conception to project completion. This method optimizes fast track scheduling and provides the best overall construction value for the client.
